Small-caliber-hood short type to support endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM).
Small-caliber-hood short type to support endoscopic procedures such as endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM).
The Fujifilm ST Hood Short Type is designed to be used in combination with a compatible endoscope to maintain field of view during endoscopic procedures, such as mucosal resection or submucosal dissection. These Fujifilm ST Hoods allow precise control of ESD tools by stabilizing the target with the hood's tip. These devices are equipped with two drains, produced from transparent material, and are available in three sizes, offering compatibility with a wide range of endoscopes.
Small caliber tip short design allows an optimized view to the operative field during endoscopic procedures such as EMR, ESD, POEM etc.
The tapered tip design realizes an ergonomic and great approach under the submucosa while performing a submucosal dissection.
7.0mm distance to the distal end and an inner diameter of 8.0mm to support efficient visibility.
Two drains realize the continuous flow of fluid and maintain a clear endoscopic view.
Sterile and single use packages for better infection control.
No guide ditch necessary; enables an easy insertion of accessories.
In the following papers, it is described how ST hoods are used as a tool for the ”pocket-creation method“:
